A bust of a woman in buff clay — head, neck and bare shoulders — with the head tilted down and to one side, eyes closed and chin near the shoulder. The hair is short and roughly textured.

Mother, Unseen

Materials
Air-dry clay

The first to wake and last to rest, her love is visible in everything around her, yet she herself becomes invisible.

This piece honors every Mother whose sacrifices have become so constant that they are mistaken for ordinary, every Mother who has smiled while exhausted, remained strong while breaking inside, and continued giving even when there was little left to give.

Sometimes, all a Mother needs is to be seen.

The bust in three-quarter view on a dark polished wood surface, the face turned down and away.
The bust from almost the front, head tilted, eyes closed, the shoulders cut off in a clean curve.
The bust at a distance, small on a dark wooden cabinet against a pale wall.
